Heritage Ballroom Lecture, Thursday, November 8, 6:00 p.m., at the Haas-Lilienthal House. This is the final lecture in the 2007 series. Christopher VerPlanck will present an illustrated talk titled "Going to Helsinki in a Handbasket," his observations on architecture, culture and urban design in three cities: Cologne, Germany; Helsinki, Finland; and Tallinn, Estonia. Architectural historian at Heritage in the late 1990s, Chris holds a masters degree in architectural history and a certificate in historic preservation from the University of Virginia's Graduate School of Architecture.
