Call Feinstein and Boxer - Senate to Vote Today on Stimulus Bill. Calls take less than 5 min. and are conveyed to the Senators.
When you call please ask our senators to keep the proposed $55 million for Historic Preservation Fund projects in the economic stimulus bill. During Senate negotiations on the economic stimulus bill this weekend, the proposed $55 million for Historic Preservation Fund programs was removed.
We have until the end of the day today to contact all members of Congress -- House and Senate -- to say:
$50 million of this will go directly to bricks and mortar preservation projects in communities nationwide, through the state's historic preservation offices. $5 million will go to Tribal Historic Preservation Offices.
This is a tremendous opportunity to invest in our communities. A little stimulus money will go a long way -- and leverage significant private investment.
