Commitment to Diversity, Access, Equity, and Inclusion

On February 21, 2021, San Francisco Heritage’s board of directors passed a resolution acknowledging that the organization’s work over the past fifty years has not adequately addressed racial and social equity. The board further committed to the consideration and prioritization of equity in all SF Heritage activities.

We are uniquely positioned to help San Francisco’s diverse communities safeguard their heritages and support architectural and cultural-preservation initiatives that help tell their full stories. We are grateful to the partners who have helped us re-center our work around equity and acknowledge the focus and diligence required of SF Heritage to achieve meaningful change.

Equity Report Card

In 2021, San Francisco Heritage committed to boost cultural equity within our preservation work. We are revising our activities and programs to meet this responsibility, and installing a framework to measure success and accountability. This equity report card helps us monitor our progress.
