For the second year in a row, Heritage and the Bayview Opera House will co-present a special concert in honor of Black History Month.

This year’s concert will feature the original sounds of the Oakland-based “Harpist from the Hood,” Destiny Muhammad. She will be joined by Leon Joyce, Jr. on drums, Noriyuki “Ken” Okada on upright bass, and special guest Eddie Gale on trumpet.

Please join us Sunday, February 10th at the Bayview Opera House for what promises to be a spectacular performance. The event takes place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with doors opening at 2 p.m. The BVOH Cafe also opens at 2 p.m., so plan to enjoy some soulful tasty bites while taking in the sounds of the jazziest harpist we know!
