The board, staff, and members of San Francisco Heritage wish to express our sincere condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Alicia L. Goehring, Executive Director & CEO of the California Historical Society (CHS), who passed away last week.
Alicia led the California Historical Society since August 2019. A well-respected public historian and non-profit leader, she brought a new vision to CHS aimed at increasing both access to history and the organization’s relevance to the communities it serves.
