Attention all history enthusiasts! Do you have an affinity for architecture? A love of San Francisco? Consider joining Heritage’s outstanding corps of volunteers, and channel your passion for the city into a fun and rewarding experience. We are currently recruiting enthusiastic individuals for our Spring Docent Training.

Training will begin on Tuesday, March 12th and will continue through April, meeting on various Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. The sessions include presentations by local experts on San Francisco history and architecture, as well as tour techniques and communication skills. Participants will also learn about the Haas-Lilienthal family and the culture and decorative arts of the city’s Victorian era. By the end of the series, new volunteers will know the Haas-Lilienthal House inside and out and will be able to conduct engaging and inspiring tours for the multitude of guests who visit each year from across the globe. To register or receive more information, please contact Dorothy Boylan at or 415-441-3000 x24.
