State Housing Legislation and Preservation Webinar: Recording Now Available

On January 31, 2024, San Francisco Heritage hosted an online presentation by Kate Conner, Manager of Housing Implementation Programs for the San Francisco Planning Department, on new California housing legislation and its potential impacts on historic buildings in San Francisco.

New state laws streamlining approvals, offering density incentives, and removing local review took effect January 1, 2024. What do they mean for the city’s local landmarks, conservation districts, and significant but undesignated historic buildings and landscapes?

Following the presentation, SF Heritage president and CEO Woody LaBounty moderated a question-and-answer session with Ms. Conner and Richard Sucre, Deputy Director at the San Francisco Planning Department.

Recording of the webinar is now available on the San Francisco Heritage YouTube channel.
