After producing a month-long series focused on Visitacion Valley history and architecture in October 2021, San Francisco Heritage helped form “Visitacion Valley Heritage” to work on preservation projects and address the neighborhood’s underrepresentation in the city’s official inventory of historic buildings. The group decided to identify and campaign for Visitacion Valley’s very first city landmark designation and wants your help!
Starting today, February 1, Visitacion Valley Heritage is putting forward three significant sites in the neighborhood for the community to vote on (with one write-in wild card option). The winner at the end of the month will be the focus of the group’s landmark campaign as the public choice.
Voting closes March 1, 2022, at 11:59 PM. Read more about the landmark candidates below and cast your vote. Don’t forget to spread the word to your friends and family!
