Scenes from the Sunset Chinese Cultural District launch in May 2022

A big thank you to Wah Mei School, District 4 Supervisor Gordon Mar, Sunset Mercantile, and all the Sunset Chinese Cultural District community partners for a successful launch event on May 22, 2022. It was a wonderful sunny day out at the Outer Sunset Farmers Market and Mercantile, where we had fun activities, performances, and conversation. We look forward to continuing our support for the cultural district under Wah Mei’s direction.

In April 2022, legacy business Wah Mei School was announced as the new stewards of the Sunset Chinese Cultural District, originally created in 2021 as San Francisco’s ninth cultural district. SF Heritage has been proud to serve as a one of SCCD’s community planning partners.
