Video: Family Members and Historians Introduce the Haas-Lilienthal House

April 13th, 2020 No Comments »

Heritage is proud to be the longtime steward of the Haas-Lilienthal House, the magnificent Queen Anne Victorian at 2007 Franklin St. in San Francisco. In January 2018, we completed an orientation video for the House with funding from the Campaign for SF Heritage/Haas-Lilienthal House and the support of many generous donors. It was beautifully produced by Berkeley-based Bread and Butter Films. The video helps illustrate what John Rothmann, a Hass great-grandson, says is “not only the history of a family, but the history of a city.”

As we continue working to bring you virtual tour segments of the House during the shelter-in-place (view Part I here), please enjoy this video, featuring Haas family members John Rothmann and Alice Russell-Shapiro, local historians/authors Gary Kamiya and Christopher VerPlanck, and House Docent Coordinator Pam Larson:
