Get it all by learning to be a docent at the historic Haas-Lilienthal House!

Special Bonus Opportunity #1

Not ready to take the docent leap? We also welcome volunteers to help with tour check-in and cashiering. On tour days from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., our greeter/cashier welcomes visitors to the Haas-Lilienthal House, checks in attendees, sells items from the gift shop, and chats with visitors from around the world!. We can get you trained up quickly if you’ve ever used an iPad before.

Email Hannah Woodall, Community Development Manager to sign up.

Special Bonus Opportunity #2

We’re recruiting Heritage Hike leaders for the 2024-2025 school year. SF Heritage’s popular field trips for San Francisco 3rd graders, will return in the fall for its 41st year. Classes take a version of the general Haas-Lilienthal House tour learning about architectural design and 19th century life, a curriculum which meets California educational content standards.

Tours take place on select Tuesday and Thursday mornings between December and May. This is a wonderful volunteer opportunity for retired teachers or others who enjoy working with groups of 10-12 children (and their teacher and adult chaperones).

Training sessions for Heritage Hikes have not yet been scheduled, but you can sign up as interested by emailing Hannah Woodall, Community Development Manager.
