We are excited to announce that our new community membership and communications program, “Special City,” will launch on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2026. (Because we love San Francisco, it seems like a good day.)
Special City combines San Francisco Heritage’s nonprofit advocacy and educational missions and will build a broad and deep coalition of people who love this beautiful and unique city.
To launch Special City we will transition to a new platform (Ghost) for all our email communications, including free and member-only content. You can sign up on Ghost totally free (Fog Citizen level) and will receive news about upcoming events and advocacy alerts. However, we hope you’ll join us as a paid member to receive perks such as special monthly content, reciprocal membership to local and national cultural institutions, and early notification to walking tours and special events.
If you have a current SFH membership we have automatically carried you over to our new platform and you should have already received a separate and spiffy new Ghost email from us.
If you think you are a member but haven’t received a separate email, either 1. your membership has expired, or 2. the email is in your spam folder.
We even made a 200 special member patches for any new members who sign up! *while supplies last (existing members have already received a separate email)
