Board Resolution: Commitment to Racial and Social Equity

Resolved by the Board of Directors of San Francisco Heritage at its regular meeting held on February 16, 2021:

1. Adoption of the following acknowledgement and commitment statement:

“Heritage’s work over the past 50 years has not adequately addressed racial and social equity.As a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the United States, Heritage has a responsibility to proactively address structural and institutional racism in collaboration with impacted and threatened communities.San Francisco Heritage will revise its activities and programs to meet this responsibility and install a framework to measure success and accountability.”

2. Consideration and prioritization of equity in all Heritage activities, including advocacy, development, programming, policy-making, staff and board nominations, and use of Heritage properties.
