A historic home for performing arts
Built in 1939 by the U.S. Army with WPA funding, the Presidio Theatre is adjacent to the parade grounds in the Main Post. The theater retains its original Spanish Colonial style architecture with its entry arches and stucco facade, while the interior was meticulously renovated in 2018.

What to expect
Post to Park will highlight the remarkable transformation of the Presidio of San Francisco from a military post to a national park. Model stewardship projects of unceded Ramaytush Ohlone land and innovative preservation work continue to shape its future.
The evening will kick-off with a VIP reception from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Presidio Theatre plaza. Sponsors are invited to mingle, network, and enjoy drinks and abundant appetizers from Indigenous restaurant Wahpepah’s Kitchen. A big-screen public program with video and a presentation for the Page Memorial Lecture Series in the Theatre’s historic auditorium will follow at 7:30 pm. The program will showcase and celebrate the preservation, adaptive reuse, and land stewardship projects in the Presidio in partnership with the American Indian Cultural District and The Presidio Trust. SF Heritage projects and a surprise performance will conclude the evening.
